OUTDOOR

Setup time:

The Artist requires 1 hour prior to the first show to rig and test the slackrope and 15 minutes prior to each show after for setup and sound check. The “rigging hour” may be several hours before the performance.

Sound:

The Artist will provide a Sennheiser wireless headset mic and Mp3 player to plug into your soundboard or PA (Artist provides CD when there is live sound technician available).

The promoter shall provide a PA soundsystem.

Lighting:

After sunset simple, clear lighting for good visibility of the slackrope and juggling equipment is required.

Slackrope:

The Artist shall provide a slackrope rig consisting of 2x 3-meter “A-Frames” that support the rope in the air.

The promoter shall provide Two solid anchor points at or near ground level, 10-15 meters apart, to which the artist will secure the slackrope rig.

Rigging Outdoors: Almost anything set into the pavement works very well to anchor the rig. Street signs, lamp posts, bolted down benches, parking meters and secure drainage grates can all be easily used, as most of the force is taken by the "A frame". The rig can also be secured to stakes (1.5 meter +) set into the ground. Water tanks, cars or large size all-terrain vehicles may also be used in the event that “staking” is not an option.

Rigging on Outdoor Stages: the Artist can anchor the rig to stable structures beyond the stage or to the frame of stages that are secured with stakes or water tanks.

Space Requirements:

The Crystal Ball, Juggling, Hip-hop Dance and Clown numbers can all be done on small stages.

The slackrope is 6.5 meters between the supports, which stand on the stage. The anchor points can be on or off stage but should be at least 2 meters further, on each side, than the supports (10-15 meters between anchor points). A minimum of 4 Meters of height is also required.

A flat pitch approx 13 meters in diameter with 2 anchor points (see above)

Assistance:

For the safety of the artist as well as the audience, in crowded outdoor environments, the promoter shall provide two helpers for the last 15 minutes of the show to protect the security lines that hold up the rope.
